Title: Mercury-Atlas 3 liftoff and separation of capsule

These four views were taken by an Igor camera during lift off of 
Mercury-Atlas 3. Forty seconds after the Atlas left the pad, the vehicle
was  destroyed by the Range Safety Officer. The Mercury spacecraft
separated and  was recovered off the Cape Shore.
