Title: STS-37 Gamma Ray Observatory (GRO) at KSC Payload Hazardous Servicing Fac

At the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) Payload Hazardous Servicing Facility, the  
overhead crane lifts the Gamma Ray Observatory (GRO) from its storage 
container.  GRO, one of four NASA Great Observatories, arrived at KSC on 
02-06-90 from the California plant of builder TRW.  Weighing a massive
34,700  pounds, GRO will be the heaviest payload without an upper stage
ever carried  aboard the Space Shuttle.  It is scheduled for deployment
from Atlantis,  Orbiter Vehicle (OV) 104, during STS-37.
