1990 Group 13 Astronaut Candidate (ASCAN) Susan J. Helms participates in 
ejection seat training at Vance Air Force Base (VAFB), Enid, Oklahoma.  
Wearing a helmet and strapped into a seat, Helms will experience the "feel" 
of emergency ejection from a jet aircraft during this test.  Helms, along 
with the rest of the 1990 Astronaut Class, was part of ground egress and 
parasail training exercises at VAFB from 07-29-90 through 07-31-90.
