Each of the three potential Single Stage to Orbit (SSTO) Rocket RLV configurations are represented side-by-side in actual scale. The configurations are shown from left to right: 1. A lifting body SSTO concept (Vertical Takeoff / Horizontal Landing). 2. A wing body SSTO concept (Vertical Takeoff / Horizontal Landing). The concept shown is powered by seven tripropellant engines. The boost phase of the flight uses RP-1 (kerosene), liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen. The second phase uses only LH2 and LO2. 3. A vertical takeoff/vertical landing SSTO configuration. The concept shown uses liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen.
